Hi, I’m NASHOLA PRYCE.
Welcome — I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Nashola Pryce, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a Canadian Certified Counsellor, and the founder of Sound Mind Counselling Services. I offer faith-based counselling rooted in the belief that true healing is both spiritual and emotional. I walk alongside individuals who are seeking clarity, restoration, and growth, guiding them through biblically grounded principles and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
My work is anchored in the scripture found in 2 Timothy 1:7, which reminds us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind.” This truth shapes the heart of my practice — helping people reclaim their identity, stability, and peace of mind through God’s truth and therapeutic support.
My Background
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies, from the University of Waterloo. My educational journey has been shaped by a deep desire to bridge the gap between faith and mental health.
After years of serving in various ministry roles, I felt a strong call to pursue professional training in counselling. I witnessed firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health in many church communities and knew God was leading me to become a vessel of change — to affirm that it’s okay to need help, and that seeking support is not a sign of weakness, but of wisdom.
Sound Mind Counselling Services was born out of this vision — to provide a space where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
A Bit About Me
When I’m not in session, I love spending quality time with my family, diving into new music, and feeding my curiosity through books, podcasts, and continuing education. I believe learning is lifelong and I’m always seeking ways to grow — both as a therapist and as a follower of Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. It would be an honour to walk with you on your journey toward healing, hope, and a sound mind.
MY APPROACH
At Sound Mind Counselling Services, I support individuals through life’s challenges with a compassionate, Christ-centered, and clinically informed approach. I serve a diverse range of clients — with a focus on young adults and adults (ages 17 and up) — who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, racial identity, and emotional overwhelm.
Whether you're experiencing a season of hardship or simply seeking personal growth, my approach is rooted in both biblical wisdom and evidence-based therapeutic methods. I believe healing takes place when we feel safe, seen, and supported — mind, body, and spirit.
